City University is home to one of the country’s top mechanical engineering programs, with a rich history and a strong, clear vision for the future. We continue to shape the field by generating new paradigms in mechanical engineering.
At City University, the Department of Mechanical Engineering began offering a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program in the Spring Semester of 2017. Since then, we are continuously developing our classrooms and labs with state of the art research facilities. Here we have a diverse group of faculty who are passionate about education as well as cutting-edge research. Together, we have crafted an ambitious four-year strategic plan with the vision of pushing the boundaries of mechanical engineering and shaping the next generation of societal leaders.
The undergraduate program prepares the student for a career in engineering with an emphasis on the technical areas of fluid and thermal energy, mechanical systems and machines, and design and control of these systems. At present, we have 1000+ students and 20 faculty members who are both contributing in the field of academia and ever growing industrial sectors.
