Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering of City University. The department started its journey in 2017. It offers B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering degree. Within a short period of time the progress of academic activities is highly appreciable. At present there are 20 (twenty) qualified faculty, 1050 current students and 1150 alumni (06 batches) of this department. The graduates of this department are working in different reputed manufacturing companies in the country. All of the faculty members are graduated from renowned universities with excellent results. The syllabus & course curricula of Mechanical Engineering are designed following the Outcome Based Education (OBE) course curricula. The target of this department is to make qualified engineers who can play important role with latest technical knowledge in mechanical engineering sector of the country. For this purpose, the Syllabus is designed in such a way that all the students can learn everything practically as well as theoretical knowledge. Various modern laboratories are designed for undergraduate students and they work in different labs such as Auto CAD & Solid work lab, Thermodynamics Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Machineries Lab, Heat Transfer Lab, Heat Engine Lab, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Lab, Turbulence Lab, Material Testing Lab, Applied Mechanics Lab, Measurement and Control Lab. Beside these, it has well-equipped Foundry shop, Welding Shop and Machine Shop. A bright future is waiting for the undergraduate students of Mechanical Engineering Department.
